Big Buck’s will run at the Cheltenham Festival

Big Buck’s has already won the World Hurdle twice before and the trainer decided to let him rest before the race, just like he did last year. “It was my initial plan to make Big Buck’s a part of the Cleeve Hurdle,” Nichols said. “But he will be given a break instead and his campaign will now mirror last season’s, with the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals his next targets.”

In 2009 the colt also won the edition of the Cleeve Hurdle and he had a great season last year with a ten-race unbeaten streak that still continues and that includes an impressive five Grade I triumphs. The horse is expected to continue shinning on horseracing tracks during this year.

In other news, winning colt Credit Swap was victorious at the hurdle event that was held at Leicester today. The horse previously won the Totesport.com Cambridgeshire at Newmarket where his performance was really good. He was trained by Michael Wigham and currently is trained by Venetia Williams.

“I’m over the moon with him. He settled quite well and jumped brilliantly before quickening up. He stayed well enough too – you’d have to [stay well] in that [ground],” trainer Venetia Williams commented about the winning horse.
