Ouija Board’s future undecided

Ten days ago, Ouija Board finished second in the Coronation Cup at Epsom. Trainer Ed Dunlop is now considering whether the five-year-old mare will run at Royal Ascot or not. “She may well be running at Royal Ascot, although there has been no decision as yet”, he said.

Trainer Dunlop explained that they would look at both her options: the Hardwick Stakes and the Prince of Wales’s. The mare has put on all the weight she lost at Epsom, and more, after spending five days in the paddock.

“I was very pleased with her effort at Epsom. It was a good run. For a moment, I thought we were going to beat Shirocco. But he is a very good horse - one of the best in the world”, explained Dunlop.

In 2004, Ouija Board won both the English and the Irish Oaks.
